La Presqu'île de Saint Mandrier
VISIT THE VAR AND THE COTE D'AZUR
At the mention of its name, the Côte d’Azur conjures up dreams of turquoise seas, adventures and relaxation. The South of France attracts tourists from all over the world every year, with good reason. France’s least rainy region has a varied and exceptional cultural and natural heritage. From the calanques of Cassis to Toulon harbour via Saint Mandrier and Sanary, set out to see PACA’s unmissable sights.
THE BEACHES OF THE VAR
The coastline of the French Riviera stretches over 650 km of coves, ports and fine sandy beaches.
Ideally located in Saint Mandrier, La Presqu’île campsite offers mobile homes just a few minutes walk from beautiful beaches.
About 500 m from your pitch, Saint Asile beach attracts locals and holidaymakers alike. Edged by an ancient pine forest, it has all the necessary facilities for a great holiday. While some sunbathe, others make sandcastles or take a kayak trip.
A little further on, 10 minutes’ walk from the campsite, Les Sablettes beach is popular with both children and adults. With its restaurants and wide range of water sports activities, families, couples and groups of friends can spend the whole day here.
At first light, holidaymakers spread out their beach towels on the fine sand at Les Sablettes. Once night falls, a short walk is all that’s needed to explore the night markets, shows and fireworks organised in the landscaped grounds.
WATER & SPORTS ACTIVITIES
In summer, it’s often hard to tear yourself away from the clear waters of the Mediterranean. So, it’s not surprising that, with an average temperature of 22 °C in July and August, the Mediterranean is the favourite destination for holidaymakers.
For an unforgettable holiday by the sea, the beaches near the campsite offer many water activities.
Thrill seekers can take to the skies with parasailing. For mega-fun with friends, the towables skim across the water at full speed. Thrills and laughter guaranteed!
Alone or with others, get away from the crowd for a few minutes in a sea kayak or on a paddleboard. Once you’ve mastered the art of paddling, you can explore the coastline. You can see the beaches, coves and forests that surround Saint Mandrier.
Under the water, a magical world awaits you. Try your hand at scuba diving with an instructor and let them guide you to the best spots in the bay.
THE COLOURS OF PROVENCE
All the locals will tell you: that Provence is one of the most beautiful regions of France.
And who would dare to argue with them? Beauty is everywhere in PACA: in the colourful traditional markets, in the little fishing ports such as Saint Mandrier and in every village in the Var, such as Ollioules.
If you want to explore the Varois coast in a different way, climb aboard a pointu. You can enjoy the natural and architectural beauty of the coastal villages in this traditional boat.
